Welcome,

I’m Meg - your host in this space where the old, the mystical, and the beautifully strange converge.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the past—not just in admiration, but with the feeling that I somehow belong to it. I have always found a certain enchantment in the imperfect: the creak of an antique piano, the scent of aged books, the quiet presence of something - or someone - long forgotten. There is a particular beauty in objects and traditions that have lived before us, carrying with them the stories and echoes of another time.

Yet so much of what once held meaning is fading. Folklore, mythology, and the wisdom of old cultures cling to the edges of the modern world, at risk of being lost altogether. But there are those of us who refuse to let them slip away. We gather the fragments, breathe new life into them, and weave them into the present. The House of Old Souls is my way of doing just that - a celebration of what endures, a sanctuary for those who find themselves drawn to old world allure, mysticism, and the art of storytelling.

This space begins with designs that nod to these themes - playful yet evocative, inspired by mythology, alternative culture, and the quiet magic of the past. In time, it will expand to include carefully curated vintage pieces, hand-painted garments, jewellery, and art.

Beyond the physical, the Musings section will be a place to explore ideas: book recommendations, music that lingers, and perspectives from an old soul navigating a modern world.

This is more than a brand. It is a gathering place for old souls, who find meaning in what has been overlooked, and who, like me, believe that the past still has much to offer. If that sounds like you, then welcome - you are among kindred spirits.

Environmental Impact

At House of Old Souls, we believe in creating with care - for you and for the planet. Our printed design items are made using thoughtful practices that minimise waste and reduce environmental harm. Here's how:

Made to Order

Our items are produced on-demand, meaning we only create what you order. This eliminates the need for large production runs and reduces the risk of unsold inventory ending up in landfills. With no excess stock, we help combat the fashion industry's overproduction problem, where 21% of textiles are discarded without ever being worn.

Packaging

Depending on the shipping location, we use sustainable packaging solutions to reduce our environmental impact.

  • Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic: For other apparel items, our packaging uses post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, made from recycled materials like plastic bottles and containers. Depending on the region, the recycled content in our mailers ranges from 70% to 100%, reducing the demand for virgin plastics. Where possible POLLAST!C which is made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic pollution. This means it was once abandoned plastic in Southeast Asia, now reclaimed with purpose. In regions without formal waste management, plastic piles up with nowhere to go. Every year, 8-12 million tonnes of plastic spill into the ocean. By turning pollution into packaging, Better Packaging Co creates an incentive for collection, providing livelihoods for locals and keeping waste out of nature.

  • Recyclable Packaging: Mugs and structured hats are packaged in recyclable corrugated cardboard boxes, providing sturdy protection while remaining eco-friendly.

Efficient Shipping

We strive to minimise our carbon footprint by producing products closer to where you are. Around 86% of our printed design orders are delivered in the same region they’re made. This reduces shipping distances, cuts emissions, and gets your order to you faster.

Sustainability is a journey, and we’re committed to doing our part. From made-to-order production to mindful packaging, every choice we make reflects our belief that fashion can be both beautiful and responsible.
